Leading The Way is the international media ministry of Dr. Michael Youssef. Founded in 1988 as a local radio program for Atlanta, Georgia, Leading The Way is now broadcast via radio and television in more than 100 countries.
Its signature dual-language radio broadcasts originated in 1996 with an English-Arabic program for the Middle East and North Africa. This format features Dr. Youssef's English teaching, which is followed by a phrase-by-phrase translation into the listener's native language. The broadcast appeals both to those interested in learning about Jesus, and to those who wish to gain a mastery of the English language.
The dual-language format is now produced in 15 translated languages around the world, including Arabic, Mandarin, Indonesian, Turkish, Punjabi, Russian, Farsi, French, Hindi, Bengali, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Amharic.
Leading The Way also produces a variety of resources — including books and audio series — designed to help its listeners and readers grow in their faith and to equip them for ministry.
Michael Youssef, Ph.D., is the founding pastor of The Church of The Apostles in Atlanta, Georgia, and the host of a worldwide radio and television program, also based in Atlanta.
Dr. Youssef was educated in Australia and the United States. He and his wife have four grown children.
Leading The Way with Dr. Michael Youssef airs on hundreds of radio and television outlets throughout North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Dr. Youssef also hosts a dual-language radio program, which translates his biblical teaching phrase by phrase from English into a number of languages, including Arabic, Mandarin, Indonesian, Turkish, Punjabi, Russian, Farsi, French, Hindi, Bengali, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Amharic. These programs are broadcast to most of the world’s population.
