I've tried really really hard to make the point that sometimes we’re not very discerning when it comes to recognizing how God is already handing us our big dreams. We confuse big dreams with flashy, splashy, at­tention-grabbing successes. We want to make the cover of People Magazine, or sign a big contract playing the sport of our dreams, or eat all we want and still fit into the perfect little black dress. Frankly, we want to live large by our definition – not necessarily God’s. Many of us live like this, and to you I say – baby, knock yourself out! But when you can’t sleep at night, when you live with a low grade “fever” of anxiety, when depression beckons – and you live every day just to keep hopelessness at bay – pause to prepare. Look back through God’s words, and see if perhaps, just maybe, you’ve missed some­thing. Could it be? Could it be possible that you are already standing on the very precipice of God’s big dream for you – and you haven’t recognized it? Look, I’m a mere mortal – I don’t know your deal!!! But I know who does – go to God in prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to do His thing – and reveal to you the truth. Remember that Jesus stands before the Father morning, noon, and night, reminding him of you and your big dream. Then, do what you think is best…
