Day 331

GUARDIAN

Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord;

keep watch over the door of my lips.

Psalm 141:3

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, learn to pick your battles. Is it really worth losing a friend or loved one over things? Can you fix others' problems by playing God in their lives? Can you retrieve a poison dart once it hits the target? Let Me be your guardian. I'll station My angels like an armed guard around your mouth and your heart. And My Spirit will seal your lips before you make a costly mistake. It will help if you hide My words in your heart. That's where ugly thoughts are born.

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
Lord, my lips can either be like a fresh spring or a bitter stream. You are my guardian, keeping watch not just over the door of my lips, but through the window of my heart. With my words, with my heart, with my life, Lord, I want to praise You.

SIMPLE TRUTH

Loving words are like buried treasure. When we find them and give them away, they bring great delight.
