Revelation 3:19-20

Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Jesus is knocking! Do you hear Him?

When Jesus wants to get our attention to remind us that our love for Him is more important than anything else in our lives, He knocks in all sorts of ways. Your reading of this devotional today is a knock from Jesus. When you become aware that you haven’t prayed for a long time, that’s Jesus knocking. When you find yourself in a situation that you can’t handle and you remember how God has answered prayer in the past, Jesus is knocking at your door.

When you spend time with someone who is really walking with God and you realize that you are just walking with the world, that’s Jesus trying to get through to you. He will knock on your door through His word, through financial stresses, through preaching, through other believers, through pain, even through sleeplessness at night.

Jesus is determined not to let anyone’s lukewarm Christian life continue and He will do what it takes to renew your fervent love for Him.
