Luke 2:15-19

When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, “Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.” So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart.

Allow God to develop and lead your children into what He wants to do with their lives!

So many amazing things had been told to Mary about what her boy was to become in God’s plan. She couldn’t understand all of it, but she’d already submitted her life to God’s leadership. She might have chosen a different life for her dear child. But first in her life came God’s will.

If you oppose what God’s doing in your child’s life, you’ll only bring tension, stress, and conflict into both your life and your child’s. But when you trust God and what He’s doing in your child’s life, there’s peace. You may not understand what God’s purpose is, but you can still wait and trust and ponder these things in your heart.
