Divine Interruptions

Often, some of the most dramatic things that have happened in my life as a Christian have come without warning. I did not have some vision from God that a certain thing was about to take place. I just went out to do the normal things that a person does on any given day, when suddenly there was one of those wonderful divine interruptions, a moment when God had orchestrated a series of events and brought them all together.
We never know what the Lord has in store. We never know what will happen each day. That is why we want to be available and say, “Lord, here I am. Use me. If You want to call on me today, if you have an opportunity for me to respond to, if you have something you want to do, Lord, I am ready. I am on call.”
The Book of Acts is a record of what Jesus Christ did in the lives of His people over a 30-year span. This is important to realize, because as we read through this book, it sounds like the early believers had a miracle happening every few minutes. Yet the events of Acts unfolded over a long period of time.
True, they had visions, but not every day. They saw miracles, but they weren’t a constant experience, nor were they announced ahead of time. They always happened as the Word of God was being proclaimed or as the Lord simply chose to do them. We never know when a miracle will happen, because that is up to God. That is for Him to do, when and where He wants to.
