“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And a second is like it:  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

--Matthew 22:37, 39

The Bible teaches that love is the most important thing on earth. God’s Word also teaches us to express love in the proper way.

First, it means loving the Lord with all the passion of our being…and then it means loving others the way we love ourselves. In fact, this is how Christ Himself summarized the entire Law of Moses!

Christ was saying love is so important that, in fact, love is what the Ten Commandments are all about. Did you know that the first four commandments deal with our love for God, and the next six deal with our love for and relationships with others?

When it comes right down to it, the only thing that matters is love—the love of Christ for us, the love we are to have for Him, and the love we need to show to others. These ways of loving should define our lives.

We are on this earth to love and form relationships with Christ and others. Make sure to put love first today in everything you do. It’s the best way to point someone to Christ, the greatest love of all.

LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, SOUL, AND MIND…AND LOVE OTHERS AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.
