If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

--1 Corinthians 13:3

You and I won’t progress or succeed in life unless we learn how to love…to be loved…and to give love. Today’s verse is even stronger: our lives add up to nothing without love for Christ and a love for people that flows from our love for Christ.

But too often we see other people through the lens of our own opinions instead of seeing them through Christ’s eyes of love, forgiveness, and compassion. But when we truly experience the love of Christ in our own lives, we are set free to see others as Jesus sees them.

When you reach that point in your walk with Christ, you won’t feel a need for self-promotion; you’ll be too busy with Christ-promotion! You’ll lose your worries about whether or not you’re getting the attention you feel you deserve, and you’ll be free to love others the way Christ wants you to love them.

And when you reach this point you’ll find more personal success and spiritual satisfaction than you can imagine as you truly love others, no strings attached. This is true in business and personal relationships…and it is even truer of our relationships with the ones we love the most, our closest friends and family members.

So my question to you today is this: do you look at people through the lens of your personal experiences and opinions, or do you see them as Jesus sees them? Let me challenge you to think of someone you really have a hard time loving, and then ask God to help you see that person through the eyes of Jesus Christ. When you do, you will love as Christ loves…and your life will be richer for it!

ASK GOD TO HELP YOU SEE…AND LOVE…SOMEONE THROUGH THE EYES OF CHRIST TODAY.
