Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”

--John 6:35

Back when the children of Israel were wandering in the desert and needed food, God miraculously supplied their needs. He provided bread for them that appeared on the ground every morning, which they called “manna.” And that manna fed them and sustained them in the wilderness.

I believe that the manna was a picture of Jesus Christ. Just as the manna came from God…so did Jesus. God Himself descended and came to earth that we might know Him…that we might have spiritual life…not just physical life.

Now, in the Old Testament you had a choice. You could either walk over the manna…or you could pick it up and eat it. And the same choice is yours today! The Bread of Heaven has come down. The Bread of Heaven is available. But it’s up to you to take that Bread…Jesus Christ…and make Him the source of nourishment and power.

Jesus tells us in John 6:27, “Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you.”

Are you laboring for “food that perishes”? Or are you feasting on the Bread of Life each and every day? The choice is yours!

DON’T SETTLE FOR “FOOD THAT PERISHES.” FEAST ON THE BREAD OF LIFE TODAY!
