On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

--John 7:37-38

When the Spirit of God fills you and overflows in and out of your life, you’re going to live in obedience to Him. You will have the power to please Him and live for Him from the inside out.

My constant daily prayer is that I will be filled with the Holy Spirit of God…and as a result, that I will please God, that I will grow stronger in my faith, that I will grow more powerful in resisting temptation, that I will be more dedicated in my prayer, and more faithful in my witness.

There’s always more power to live the Christian life when the Holy Spirit captures our hearts. And when the Spirit of God is in control of our hearts, He is in control of our attitudes and ultimately our actions.

I’ve discovered when I’m full of the Spirit, I don’t worry about demanding my rights and doing what pleases me. My primary concern is to please God when I’m walking in the fullness and the freshness of the Holy Spirit. And that, my friend, is a life of victory!

So let me ask you today: As a believer, are you walking in the Spirit? Are you living a life full of His power…that wants to please Christ in your thoughts and actions? Are you living a victorious life?

It’s my prayer that God will enable you to live a spirit-filled, victory-filled life today and every day.

WHEN YOU LIVE A LIFE THAT IS FILLED WITH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT YOU WILL LIVE IN OBEDIENCE TO GOD.
