For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.

--2 Chronicles 16:9

God is looking for men and women who are willing to steadfastly give their whole hearts to Him.

If we’re going to become successful in the Christian life, it means putting Christ first and living radically for Him!

But some people don’t like the idea of being a radical. They don’t want to be seen as a Jesus freak or a fool. They don’t want to be seen as extremist or someone who’s intolerant.

So they often settle for something less than maxing out for Christ. But did you know that maximum commitment is really the normal Christian life? This is the way the Christian life should be lived!

First century believers embraced the call to maximum commitment. They picked up their cross and followed Jesus. And they went into the world and made disciples.

What does maximum commitment look like for you and me today? It’s a simple thing really. It’s being a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Discipleship is disciplining ourselves… training under the authority of God’s Word…and then living in daily devotion to what we’re learning. It’s living what we learn and practicing it in the Christian life.

I challenge you today to heed the call to maximum commitment to Christ!

MAXIMUM COMMITMENT MEANS BEING A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST.
