And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them, saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man’s blood on us!” But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.”

--Acts 5:27-29

As you study the book of Acts, the impact of the early church on the city of Jerusalem is apparent.

Believers were under serious persecution and pressure during this time, but despite the rejection of the Gospel by many, they were consistent in sharing their faith.

There is much you and I can learn from their example.

Peter and the early apostles had a deep commitment to capture their own city and surrounding cities for Christ. They passionately spread the Gospel…and the Holy Spirit moved in a powerful way.

And in the process, lives were changed for eternity.

Today I’d like to ask you, are you willing to share your faith despite how uncomfortable it might make you?

Is there someone in your life…a co-worker…your neighbor…your hairstylist…who needs to know the love and forgiveness that Jesus Christ offers?

I encourage you to share your story of grace with someone you know today. You never know, it might just open the door to a life being changed for eternity!

ARE YOU WILLING TO SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST WITH SOMEONE YOU KNOW TODAY?
