Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”

--Proverbs 31:28-29

You know, there are a lot of things I could say about my mom. While she is in heaven today, I can still remember my mother’s eyes. They were bright and beautiful and they danced when she looked at you.

I also remember by mother's smile... her laughter. Her laughter could light up a room!

But what I really remember most about my mom was her hands... the tenderness and the love of those hands. She was a mom who would put her arms around me, and love me and encourage me like no one else could.

Dr. Ed Wheat gives us a formula for a successful marriage, but it’s also a formula on how to be a successful mother and parent. It’s called the BEST formula:

B stands for “bless.” Bless your children with praise, admiration, and affirmation, both publicly and privately.

E stands for “edify.” Build your children up spiritually, emotionally, and personally.

S stands for “share.” Communicate…share with your children and allow them to share with you.

T stands for “touch.” Express your love to your kids by hugging them and showing them the tenderness I mentioned above.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO EXPRESS YOUR LOVE TO YOUR KIDS BY SHOWING THEM LOVING AFFECTION!
