For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

--2 Corinthians 12:10

You know, we often take comfort in this verse. But what do you do when the enemy attacks you at your strongest point?

David was a man who was known for his integrity… a man who the Bible says was a man after God’s own heart. Yet the same characteristics that God used to raise David to the position of king over of Israel were the exact same characteristics where the devil attacked him!

Today I want to ask you, what do you think your strongest characteristics are? Are there any areas of you life where you think, “Oh, I’ve got that thing covered… it’s under control.  I’m safe here”?

Don’t let your guard down like David did. Protect yourself with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-17)… armor that’s really all about Jesus.

Remember, as believers, He’s standing in our shoes and we’re standing in His. We’re standing in His peace… His truth… His righteousness… His faith… and in His Word. Praise God that He’s not only strong when we are weak, but that’s He’s stronger where we think we are strong!

don’t let your guard down, but protect yourself with the full armor of God.
