But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

--Exodus 3:11

In the third chapter of Exodus, we find Moses tending flocks in the desert when God speaks to him in a burning bush.

God calls Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, but Moses protests multiple times. He asks God what makes him so special that he was picked for this formidable task.

God answers that He will be with Moses all the way. Which, by the way, is the same answer God would give you and me if we asked the same question! God didn’t tell Moses how special Moses was, but how special He, God, was!

If God can speak through a small, burning bush and use an outlaw shepherd to lead a nation of people from slavery to freedom, why can’t He use you to do amazing things? The answer is, He can!

But like Moses, you and I often make excuses why we’re not qualified or capable of accomplishing God’s task for us. We need to realize that as children of God, He’s qualified us to do great things for Him!

Today, I challenge you to follow God’s leading…even if what He asks you to do seems impossible or improbable.

God can use you to do amazing things for Him because you are His child.
