I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

                                                                             --1 Corinthians 9:22

What if you went to the doctor with a stomach ache and he said, “Take two aspirin and go to bed.” Then you send one of your friends who has a neck ache to the same doctor, and the doctor says, “Take two aspirin and go to bed.” You send a third friend who has a headache to that doctor and he replies, “Take two aspirin and go to bed.”

Pretty soon, you’d catch on and stop sending people to a doctor who gives the same cure and prescription to each person who comes in with a different ailment. But when we go to the Great Physician — Jesus Christ — with our hurt and pain, He deals with each individual’s needs differently.

Many of you have probably come to Christ out of a background that was pretty rough. You weren’t raised in church, but you were radically saved by Christ. Perhaps you came to Christ out of drug addiction, alcoholism, prison, adultery, and so on, and you were transformed by the Lord.

And there are those of you, like myself, raised in a Christian home who weren’t involved in many ways of the world, though we were just as lost without Christ. Regardless of the various lifestyles, we were all on our way to Hell and judgment before Christ and we all had a need for His salvation in our lives.

Still today, we all need Christ differently. And He’s not the kind of Physician who hands out the same cure to every person that comes to Him. He deals with each ailment specifically reaching inside to one's heart, patching up the hurt, cleaning out the darkness, and bandaging the soul.

THANK GOD FOR RESCUING YOU, HEALING YOU, AND LOVING YOU UNIQUELY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE.
