Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

--Hebrews 13:15

Paul and Silas were two shining examples of men who praised the Lord despite their circumstances. Even in prison, they lifted their voices to God in praise (see Acts 16:25)!

While you and I may never be imprisoned for sharing the gospel, the Bible says that we will have hard times in this life.

The question is how will you choose to respond when those hard times come?

Learning to praise the Lord in every circumstance is so important. It doesn’t mean that you are happy about the situation… or that you are denying the very real problem you are facing.

It simply means that you are making a choice to remember who God is in the midst of your crisis, and you are lifting Him above the situation. You are declaring that He has power and wisdom in every situation… and that is something to be thankful for!

So the next time you face one of life’s storms, remember to lift your voice in praise to God. As you do, you will experience peace and strength that is not your own.

WHEN YOU FACE PROBLEMS, REMIND YOURSELF OF WHO GOD IS
AND LIFT YOUR VOICE IN PRAISE TO HIM
