For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh.

--Romans 9:3

If you are a follower of Christ, people are watching you. They want to know if you care about others. The way they know this is if you have a “yes” face or a “no” face.

Here’s what I mean by that…

Grace is God’s “yes” to us. And once we have experienced God’s grace, it changes our countenance and attitude, and gives us a “yes” face for all to see!

Jesus had a “yes” face. And our calling as His followers is to say “yes” to those who are hurting. Every Christian should have a compassionate heart that shows up in our lives, our actions, and our attitudes.

Yet some people have a “no” face. They shut others off. Too many churches are known more for what they are against than what they’re for. They push people away with “no” faces and attitudes.

Your mission and mine… as people who have experienced God’s grace… is to say to those around us, “Yes, God loves you.” “Yes, we care about you.” “Yes, you can find His grace, compassion, and love.”

TELL SOMEONE “YES” BY SHOWING THEM LOVE AND COMPASSION IN AN UNEXPECTED WAY.
