The importance of encouraging your pastor

February 13, 2013

Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.

1 Timothy 5:17

I read a startling statistic the other day that 1,500 pastors in America are leaving the ministry every month. Every month! That’s 18,000 a year! Many leave because they are discouraged and hurting. Others leave because they’re overworked and get little support from their congregation. But no matter the reason, the truth is that many people in ministry are simply getting burned out.

I hope you pray for church leaders in America. But not only that… I hope you stand with them and support them as they seek to shepherd their flocks and reach out to the lost. One person can’t do that on his own. Each needs the help of men and women in the church!

As a pastor, I’m not afraid or ashamed to admit that I need prayer and support. And I’m so grateful for so many who tell me, “I’m praying for you,” because I firmly believe the devil aims his biggest guns at those who teach and lead.

Support your church and your pastor through your prayers, your time, and your financial resources. Ministry isn’t the job of one person or a few people. It’s the job of the church! So work together with your church leaders for the advancement of the Kingdom of God!

SUPPORT YOUR CHURCH LEADERS AND WORK WITH THEM TO ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD!

Get the best from 2012 to be your best in 2013

Dear Friend,

While many pastors shy away from addressing controversial issues, I sincerely believe you need to hear straight, “bulls-eye” biblical teaching on many of today’s hot topics. Not only to grow in your faith as a believer, but to give winsome, compassionate answers to the hard questions our culture is asking.

That’s why I want to send you a special new resource today – my CD series called The Best of 2012.

This series contains 10 of my most popular and compelling messages from 2012, and it’s a resource that’s sure to help you in 2013 because it includes messages such as, “Are All Religions the Same?”, “Lessons on Leadership,” and “What Is a Christian?”

The Best of 2012 is my gift to thank you for your donation to help PowerPoint continue to proclaim God’s Word and truth ’til the whole world hears. So please request your copy when you give today.

Thank you!
