And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

--Mark 4:39-41

Did you know that the Jesus who calmed the storm is the same Jesus who wants to work a miracle in your life today? It’s true! As His child, Jesus wants to powerfully touch your life today.

Now, you may be thinking, “Pastor Graham, miracles are reserved for other people… people more religious than me. You don’t understand what a mess I’ve gotten my life into.”

You know what? I bet the apostle Paul thought something along those lines when Jesus saved him. I mean, he was an accomplice to the murder of Christians! And Simon Peter? I imagine he probably thought any kind of miracle in his life was a complete impossibility after he denied Christ three times!

Yet Christ touched both of these men’s lives… He redeemed them… and He accomplished the “impossible” through them!

Jesus can do the impossible. In fact, He said it Himself in Luke 1:37, “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Christian, if you feel like your sin has taken you further than the powerful touch of Jesus can reach, you are mistaken! Paul says it best in Romans 8:38, “Neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Nothing can separate you from the powerful touch of Jesus. All it takes is the simplest act of faith… just a prayer saying, “Jesus, I want to turn from my sin. I need to know the power of your touch in my life today.”

No matter what you’re facing today, I encourage you to seek out the powerful touch of Christ. Because He’s waiting to meet you where you are!

Your sin can never take you further than the powerful touch of Jesus can reach.
