How You Can Get Excited to Serve Christ

July 11, 2013

But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—

1 Corinthians 2:9

Several years ago, the country of Ireland fell on very hard times economically. So the government decided it would be a good idea to come up with some projects they could do where they’d be able to put people to work.

So in one particular area, they decided to build a road. There wasn’t really a need for a road, but that didn’t stop them from just building a road to nowhere. They hired workers who believed they were doing something with purpose. The project went along splendidly until one day someone asked, “Where will this road go?”

The foreman just laughed and said, “Nowhere. It’s a road to nowhere.” And do you know what happened? Those men stopped working hard. They took long breaks, became inefficient in their labor, and simply stopped caring because they weren’t motivated anymore.

Goals produce passion, but aimlessness produces laziness. That’s why in Christ, we have a goal: to finish our lives well and enter eternity hearing the words, “Well done!” Labor today for the coming reward. It’ll be greater than you could ever imagine!

GET EXCITED ABOUT SERVING CHRIST BY KEEPING YOUR HEART FOCUSED ON THE COMING REWARD!

Not only to grow in your faith as a believer, but to give winsome, compassionate answers to the hard questions our culture is asking.

That’s why I want to send you a special new resource today – my CD series called The Best of 2012.

This series contains 10 of my most popular and compelling messages from 2012, and it’s a resource that’s sure to help you in 2013 because it includes messages such as, “Are All Religions the Same?”, “Lessons on Leadership,” and “What Is a Christian?”
