“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

--Matthew 28:19-20

Do you want to change the world?

As we see in today’s verse, Jesus clearly told us to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations….” That means our number one goal as believers should be to bring people to Christ. We’re to make disciples by baptizing them into the body of His church. And we are to mature disciples by building them up in faith, hope, and love.

So let me ask you: Are you doing everything you can to change the world for Jesus Christ? Are you bringing people to Christ… and maturing disciples in their faith?

If not, why not?

The promises and commands given to us in the Scripture didn’t just apply to Bible times. They’re also meant for you and me as believers today!

Jesus gave the same promise to us—the power of the Holy Spirit—that He gave to the small group of Christians who were first given the assignment we read about today in Matthew chapter 28.

And Jesus promised to equip and empower the first Christians despite their faults and weaknesses with the insurmountable, unimaginable power of the Holy Spirit. He promises the same thing to you and me!

So I want to challenge you today to lay claim to the power that’s already within you… so that you can change the world for Christ!

ARE YOU DOING EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO CHANGE THE WORLD FOR JESUS CHRIST? IF NOT, WHY NOT?
