Got energy?

May 3, 2010

… But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength….

--Isaiah 40:31

How are you today? Full of energy and ready to go, or tired and ready for a nap?

Well, of course, I'm asking a loaded question. I saw a study a while back that said 89 percent of Americans report feeling fatigued most of the time. Can you relate?

Fatigue is part of living. But let me tell you something… fatigue shouldn't be your life's norm! I know many people who seem truly exhausted. They're burned-out—physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. And as a result, they face a depletion of strength and are utterly discouraged with life.

People from all walks of life face incredible demands on their time and energy. The endless barrage of noise and clamor for our attention can leave us spent and sputtering—barely able to get through the day.

Have I described how you feel? Are you running on empty and getting nowhere fast?

Well, if so, I have some good news for you. In fact, God has a word for you today. And it's one of the most joyous promises in all of Scripture:

They who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

What a glorious promise! Claim it for yourself today!

ARE YOU RUNNING ON EMPTY AND GETTING NOWHERE FAST?

… LET JESUS COMPLETE AND PERFECT YOUR FAITH!

Have you ever noticed that when troubles come our way they seem to come suddenly and unexpectedly?

One day everything is beautiful, the sun is shining and everything is great and then, out of the blue the clouds roll in and the thunder crashes, and the lighting flashes, and it begins to pour and we barely know what has hit us.

When hell breaks loose, things can get ugly fast. It's a fact. A business crashes. A marriage collapses. A spouse walks out on the family. A child rebels and gets into real trouble. A loved one is diagnosed with cancer. Or maybe you are the one stricken with disease.

What do we do when all hell breaks loose in our lives?  One way or another we will deal with crisis, trouble and even tragedy.  The Old Spanish proverb says, "There's not a home without its hush."

So we all know this is a fact and when it all breaks loose, when it happens, the big question for the believer is the question that we're going to answer in this message today.  If we're going to survive, if our faith is going to survive we have to answer this big question: When all Hell breaks loose is your God still worthy of your worship?  Is He adequate?  Is He sufficient?  Is He righteous?  Does He care?  Is He in control when seemingly everything is out of control?

Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out

Dear Friend,

Do the words rested... peaceful... and refreshed describe you today? Or do the words stressed... rushed... and pressured better describe your way of life?
If you're like most Christians, you'd probably have to admit those last three words more accurately describe your life most of the time!
The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way... even when your life is one big pressure-cooker. And in my new book, Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out, I'll show you why.
Based on the principles from Paul's letter to the Philippians and Psalm 23, Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out will help you find true peace and rest in a world that is anything but peaceful and restful. It's the perfect "pause" button you need!
So please request your copy of Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out when you give online today!  --Jack Graham
