Do You Trust the Will of God?

May 3, 2012

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

James 4:10

Awhile back, I was at an evangelism conference where someone told me about a black pastor who stood up before his congregation and said, “All right, repeat after me.” Then he said, “Yes!” And the congregation replied, “Yes!” He said it again.

So again, the pastor said, “Yes!” And the congregation responded, “Yes!” He did it another time, “Yes!” And the congregation again replied, “Yes!” standing to their feet. Then he said, “Now that we’ve said yes, let’s see what the Word of God says for our lives today!”

Isn’t that good? These men and women of this church were saying yes to the will of God before it ever happened. They said, “Lord, You do what only You can do, and we are ready to yield our lives to Your will.”

Now this is not fatalism; this is faith. It’s not just an excuse for laziness and irresponsibility in life, it’s the recognition that, “Lord, You are God and we are Your servants. We put ourselves aside and give You the driver’s seat.”

Have you done that? Have you said “Yes!” in your heart and given God control? Do it today and let Him know that you love and trust Him to work all things out for your good!

GIVE GOD THE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE TODAY AND SURRENDER YOURSELF TO HIS PURPOSE!

Unlock the Power of Persistent Prayer

Dear Friend,

If you’re like most Christians, you would agree that prayer is a vital part of a vibrant spiritual life. But when it comes to your personal prayer life, perhaps there’s a difference between what you say and what you do.

To me, the reason for this is clear: most people don’t really know how to pray. That’s why I want to send you my brand new book, The Promise of Persistent Prayer. In this book I show you how you can tap into the promises of God and open the floodgates of His blessings. And I share with you the one thing that really matters when it comes to making your prayers heard.

The Promise of Persistent Prayer is my gift to thank you for your donation to PowerPoint this month, so please request your copy when you give. It’s my hope that this book will show you how to break out of the ordinary and unlock the power of prayer in your life!
