Are you desperate for God?

November 5, 2009

"… for apart from me you can do nothing."

--John 15:5

Sitting at Jesus' feet is not just a priority in the life of Christ-followers. It is an absolute necessity. This truth resounds throughout the Scripture urging you and me into his presence.

Listen to David's own words about his need for God's presence. He said, "O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water" (Psalm 63:1).

There is a desperate reliance in David's prayer. Time with God was like life itself to him… as critical as water itself!

So I need to ask you this. Are you desperate for God? Is Christ Jesus critical to your existence? Well, you may say, "Pastor, I'm no David. I'm nothing like him." Well, I beg to differ!

Like David, God didn't create you to live separately from him. Your soul hungers for him just as David's did. God desires you to fellowship with him, to know him, and he wants to speak to your heart just as he spoke to David's.

The question is… are you being obedient to that call?

It's time to live like Christ Jesus is the most critical relationship in your life. Seek him like water in the desert! Spend time in his presence daily and let nothing distract you from this goal.

IT'S TIME TO LIVE LIKE CHRIST JESUS IS THE
MOST CRITICAL RELATIONSHIP IN YOUR LIFE!

OUR THANKS TO YOU!

Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out

Dear Friend,

Do the words rested... peaceful... and refreshed describe you today? Or do the words stressed... rushed... and pressured better describe your way of life?
If you're like most Christians, you'd probably have to admit those last three words more accurately describe your life most of the time!
The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way... even when your life is one big pressure-cooker. And in my new book, Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out, I'll show you why.
Based on the principles from Paul's letter to the Philippians and Psalm 23, Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out will help you find true peace and rest in a world that is anything but peaceful and restful. It's the perfect "pause" button you need!
So please request your copy of Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out when you give online today!  --Jack Graham
