Taking a stand for the most vulnerable

October 20, 2011

My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
            intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
            the days that were formed for me,
            when as yet there was none of them.

Psalm 139:15-16

You may remember when, several years ago, a young toddler fell into a well out in West Texas.  The whole world watched and waited as every human effort was made to deliver a small child through that narrow pipe in that well. Her name was Jessica McClure—‘Baby Jessica’ as she was known around the world.

America wept and prayed as we asked God to deliver that little girl. Of course, we thank God and rejoice that Jessica was rescued and is alive and well today. But isn’t it interesting that while Jessica McClure was in that well and everyone was discussing it, thousands of babies were aborted in their mother’s womb.

On this day, and every day in so-called “God-blessed America,” 4000 babies will perish in their mother’s womb. That’s three every minute. There will be no trial. There will be no jurors. There will be no one to speak for them. Yet, they will die.

The pro-life movement is not about taking away women’s rights. It’s about speaking for the most vulnerable people in the world who have no voice—the unborn. So when it comes to protecting the unborn, remember that they’re created in God’s image and pray for an end to the practice of abortion!

UNBORN CHILDREN BEAR THE IMAGE OF GOD. SO PRAY FOR AN END TO THE PRACTICE OF ABORTION.

Dear Friend,

In your brief time here on earth, God wants you to make an impact that lasts far beyond your years.  So how can you be sure that the legacy you leave will be strong for generations to come?

In my new 6-message CD series called Legacy, I’ll show you how your legacy for Christ can be cherished long after you’re gone. You’ll find out how a strong, committed relationship with God today can inspire those who come after you. And, you’ll discover how fulfilling your calling as a godly parent will make a lasting impact on your children.

When you live your life for Christ today, you can be sure you’ll leave a powerful legacy of faith for tomorrow!

I want to send you Legacy to thank you for your online donation to PowerPoint today. It’s my prayer that this series will both encourage and equip you to live your legacy now!
