For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

--Romans 10:13-14

Did you know that God is calling you to the mission field? As followers of Christ, you and I have a mission to take the gospel to the world.

We must be on a mission to share the gospel because it is universal in its application. It’s for all people, all cultures, and all countries. All people need to know Jesus as Savior! We all face the problem of sin! And the only solution is Jesus.

We must be on a mission to share the gospel with the world because it is universal in its invitation.

Romans 10:13 says that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (emphasis added). The gospel invitation is universal because all of us have the same need and we all need the same Savior.

Finally, we must be on a mission to share the gospel because it is universal in its proclamation. We must go and be messengers. In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells His apostles, “you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Now, you may say, “What can I really do about world missions?” I’ll tell you what you can d Get available! Get usable! Get expendable!

The gospel can’t go from land to land until it goes from life to life and from lip to lip. And you’re not only to go into the world at large, but you are to go to the world nearby—across the street—with the message of Jesus Christ.

It’s my prayer that you will take this challenge from the Lord seriously today and every day!

PRAY THAT GOD WILL HELP YOU SEE YOUR PERSONAL MISSION FIELD.
