Being Christian in a Post-Christian Culture:
2010 Regional Conference
Today, we are living in a post-Christian and even anti-Christian society where the holiness of God is mocked, Christians are silenced, and the gospel is largely seen as irrelevant, even in many professedly "Christian" churches. Those of us who are disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ often find it difficult to find our bearings in this ever-changing world, let alone shine the light of Christ into the darkest recesses of the culture.

In an effort to help believers learn how to live out the implications of the gospel in this culture, Ligonier Ministries is hosting a conference September 17-18, 2010, in Washington, D.C., featuring two of our four teaching fellows, Robert Godfrey and R.C. Sproul Jr., as well as, Thabiti Anyabwile, Albert Mohler, and Burk Parsons. Dr. Spoul will also join us via live video feed for a live one on one with attendees. This conference will provide sound teaching as to how Christians can recover a biblical understanding of the world around us and, consequently, how we can reform out lives and our spheres of influence.

Ministry Information
Ligonier Ministries was established in 1971 to equip Christians to articulate what they believe and why they believe it. Our foremost desire is to "awaken as many people as possible to the holiness of God by proclaiming, teaching, and defending His holiness in all its fullness." Our vision is to propagate the Reformed faith to the church throughout the world.

In order to accomplish this goal, Ligonier endeavors to provide solid teaching that helps bridge the educational gap between Sunday school and seminary. By making Christian education materials available, Ligonier hopes to encourage Christian laypeople to be transformed by the renewing of their minds so that they will be equipped to serve the church and glorify God (Romans 12:2).

To this end, the ministry produces the Renewing Your Mind radio broadcasts, The Reformation Study Bible (ESV), Tabletalk devotional magazine, books that are true to the historic Christian faith through Reformation Trust Publishing, numerous teaching series, sacred music, national and regional conferences, and an extensive catalog with over 3,000 unique resources. In 2009, the Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies was founded and currently offers a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree program and adult non-degree certificate programs. In 2011, Ligonier Academy will enroll its first undergraduate classes in four- and two-year degree programs in Biblical and Theological Studies.
