The first institution ever known in this world was the institution of marriage. If you go back through history you’ll discover that societies everywhere have been based upon the fact that God has created man and woman. In the Old Testament marriage is blessed and commended. Christ performed His first miracle at a wedding in Cana. Jesus, when He was asked about the multiple wives and concubines of the Old Testament, went back to the beginning and said that this was because of the hardness of your hearts, but it was not so from the beginning. For God created one man and one woman and that is the nature of marriage. When marriages have been strong, the church and the nation have been strong, but marriage has been under attack for the last forty years like never before. First by the feminists, followed by the no-fault lawyers, and today the attack has reached its zenith with the homosexual assault on the very definition of marriage itself. This, dear friends, we must not allow to happen.
