Host Biography
John MacArthur is president and featured teacher of Grace to You, the nonprofit organization responsible for developing, producing, and distributing John's books, CD's, the "Grace to You" radio program, as well as recently added television program "John MacArthur". The "Grace to You" radio program airs more than 800 times daily, reaching all major population centers in the United States, as well as Canada, Europe, India, New Zealand, the Philippines, and South Africa. In its three-decade history, Grace to You has also distributed more than 11 million audiocassettes and CD's. Our television ministry is just beginning and is currently available throughout the United States as well as the United Kingdom. All the resources produced and distributed by Grace to You flow from John's teaching ministry as pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, California. John came to Grace Community Church in 1969, after graduating from Talbot Theological Seminary.
Since completing his first best-selling book, The Gospel According to Jesus in 1988, John has written dozens of books and distributed millions of copies worldwide. In 1985, John became president of The Master's College, an accredited, four-year, liberal arts Christian college. In 1986, John founded The Master's Seminary.
John and his wife, Patricia, have four grown children: Matt, Marcy, Mark, and Melinda. He and Patricia enjoy the enthusiastic company of their fourteen grandchildren. In addition to being a voracious reader, John enjoys golf and time with his family.
