- Easter, Resurrection, He is Risen

The whole world may not be able to go to church. But the church should go to the whole world. Each year churches in every state and country re-live the life of Christ during Easter. The death, burial and resurrection can sound like the most outrageous story. How can a man who was killed thousands of years ago end up having his story told in churches today? It is because there is power in the resurrection of Christ. The amazing story of God’s wrath and love is what the today’s church should be sharing with the world.

The book of Isaiah says it pleased the father to bruise him. (Isaiah 53:10) But that verse is not about the physical pain and judgement poured on God’s son. God is pleased by the result of His son’s sacrifice. The result is thousands of His followers will gather to celebrate the risen king. Thousands of people will glorify God because of His mercy and forgiveness. The people will glorify the king who bled on a cross for the sins of the world and was then raised from the dead, putting death to shame. The church can celebrate the king every easter and every day because of Christ’s sacrifice.

He is risen! Because of Jesus' death we can celebrate life. Pastor Greg Laurie shares on what Christians can look forward to because of the resurrection of Christ. Jesus is coming again and He is bringing heaven with Him!

Watch this message from Greg Laurie on what life is like because of the risen Christ.

There is a judgment for all. There is judgement for both Christians and non-believers. If you have lived an ungodly life, you will reap the repercussions of that life. But those who are faithful will be rewarded. However, we all fall short of God’s standard and the consequence of our sin is separation from God. The sin that we all have is what separates us from God in this life and the next. But Christ is the solution, His sacrifice is what brings us together with the Lord. Christ is the purpose for a godly life, and the key to eternal life in heaven.

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” - Romans 10:9

Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead, so you can go to heaven and have life everlasting. Today because of Christ, there is hope of life beyond the grave. If you want to know you will go to heaven at the end of your life, Jesus Christ is ready to receive you, if you will believe and put your trust in Him. Admit your sins and begin to stop trusting in yourself to give you everything you need.

Instead of thinking you can handle the brokenness in this world, believe that God has the power to rescue you. Ask God for forgiveness, turn from sinful ways and proclaim that the risen Christ is your savior. Take part in the body of Christ and share the message of good news that Christ can save with the whole world.
