I would feed you with the finest of wheat and I would satisfy you with honey from the rock. - Psalm 81:16 NLT

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

Do you have days when nothing seems to go well? I recently had one of those days and was frustrated. I went for a short walk and as I reflected on the things that were frustrating me, the song “Count Your Blessings” came to mind. It took a while, but I finally allowed the song to fill my soul.

As I sang along, I counted my blessings. I thanked God for my legs and the ability to walk. I thanked Him for the wind and air to breathe. Finally, I even thanked Him for my frustrations and asked Him to give me His perspective.

Slowly, I felt the frustration and angst melt away. When I got back from my walk, I opened my bible to Psalm 81. I continued to ponder on all the ways God has met my needs.  Can you relate? Instead of focusing on your frustrations, count your blessings and watch your anxieties melt away.

PRAY

Lord, thank You for giving me Your perspective. Instead of focusing on my frustrations, please remind me to count my blessings. Thank You for loving me and providing all I need. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray. Amen.

REFLECT

Think about the ways the Lord fed you and satisfied your needs. Write out a prayer of thanks.
