Do You Need a Heart Checkup? – Beloved Women – May 21, 2019

READ

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord my rock and redeemer.” - Psalm 19:14 NKJV

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

Everyday life is not easy. We are tested throughout the day with things like rude drivers, a boss that may not appreciate us, kids that may appear to be acting unthankful, a friendship that is in a hard place,  a season of waiting on God,  or a marriage in a difficult season. How we respond to these situations is what’s important. God did not promise us a perfect life, but He promised to always be with us every step of the way.

Our job is to keep our eyes on Jesus so that our hearts and words are pleasing to our Lord. May we be encouraged to have a daily heart check and set our hearts and minds on the truth of God’s Word. May we see our daily lives through His eyes, His Word, and His promises.

PRAY

Dear Lord Jesus, please help me to remember to have a heart checkup with you. Let me not get so caught up in the circumstances in life that I forget to keep my focus on you alone. May you be the center in all that I do. May the things in my heart be pleasing to you Lord. May I remember that you are the Rock that I can stand on in both good and bad times. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
