The Power of Community – Beloved Women – November 11, 2019

READ

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!”(Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 ESV)

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

God created us to be in community with one another. When I’m needing encouragement, I have always felt better when I spend time with family or friends. Sometimes I just need a listening ear, good laugh, or a delicious meal. God uses these communal relationships to ease my mind, encourage my spirit, and remind me that everything is going to be ok.

In times of uncertainty or change, isolation can surface and it is easy to throw a pity party. You may want to become detached, stay down, or wallow. You are an overcomer through Christ Jesus! God wants you to draw closer to Him and others as a source of support and strength.  I invite you to step out of your comfort zone and seek community.

God designed for you to be in community with other believers so that you may be encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that you are not alone. If you are having challenges forming community, I invite you to pray to God on where to start.

PRAY

Dear God, thank You for the community that You have provided to uplift me. In times when I feel isolated, may You comfort and strengthen me. Give me the courage and opportunities to form community with other believers.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
