Unload Your Burdens – Beloved Women – June 27, 2023

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” -  Psalm 55:22, NLT

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

During my morning walk, I saw a tree bent over with a huge accumulation of snow. Several of the branches were broken. The tree reminded me of a friend who was experiencing challenges and felt weighed down. She shared that worry and fear were her companions.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed by burdens? When we are overloaded with worry, anxieties, and fears, over long periods, we risk damaging our health. David shows us how to cast our burdens on God. When David’s friends betrayed him, he cried to the Lord and trusted God with his burden. God is our anchor, and it is only in Him, we find relief from our burdens. God will sustain us and never leave us.

PRAY

Dear Father, when I feel weighed down by life’s burdens, remind me to unload my cares on you. Thank you for sustaining me by your strength and power. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
