We Are Chosen – Beloved Women – April 24, 2020

READ: “For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.” (Ephesians 1:4 ESV)

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: What was the last choice you had to make?  Maybe it was what to wear to work or what to have for dinner.  Maybe it was something major like which car or house to buy.  Whatever it was, the choice you made held some significance for you. It was based on your taste, preference or something you valued.

Before the world was formed, God made a choice. Before He thought about where to place the stars, or how He would separate the heavens from the earth, Scripture says that He chose us.  The Creator of the whole universe had us on His mind before He laid down the foundations of the earth. Not only did He choose us, but He chose us to be holy and blameless.  In other words, it was always His intention that we would be set apart and that we would have a purpose.

There are times when we may question our value or significance, but we must remember that God never questions it. He chose us from the very beginning, and He had a special plan laid out just for us.  We are special.  We are loved.  We are chosen.

PRAY: Father, thank You for choosing me before the creation of the world.  Thank You for making me in Your image and for making me special in Your sight. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.

REFLECT: Have you ever questioned your value or significance?  What does God say about you?
