New Roles

Currently, I have two daughters pregnant, which has caused me to be more reflective of when fatherhood was new to me. When I was a first-time father, all I knew about fathering was theoretical and what I had experienced as a son.

I didn’t feel qualified to be given such a big responsibility, but at that point, I had no choice but to do the best I could.

This is the time of year when new college grads are entering the workplace. They also have some theoretical knowledge about their career, but very little practical experience. It can be scary.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build up one another.”

This week, whether it’s a new father or a new employee, give them a word of encouragement.
