“I have come that they may have life, and that they may
have it more abundantly.”
On March 25, 2009, the nation’s attention was riveted on Fargo, North Dakota, as the Red River was cresting to the brim of its levee. Every individual in Fargo, regardless of economic status, was sandbagging key points around the city to prevent an overflow. In a similar way, there is just something about human nature that resists overflow. Spiritually, many skeptics doubt the possibility that God can do the exceedingly abundant. Yet the ones who understand the dynamic welcome this lavish overabundance of God’s grace and provision, instead of being overwhelmed by it.
