For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.
(1 Corinthians 3:9)
Any name can be inserted here, but the emphasis falls on “you.” As God’s building, the individuals comprising a church should always be there to help people and pray for those whom they don’t know. Jesus is happy with a servant-hearted church, and if He had to explain His happiness, He would say, “When I was hungry, you fed Me. When I was thirsty, you gave Me water. When I had no clothes, you clothed Me. When I was marginalized and destitute, you came by to check on Me.”
