The appearance of their workings was . . . a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions. (Ezekiel 1:16b-17)

Some of us assume that God is located where the natural disasters or catastrophes are, and that He’s not interested in us here. In 2005 during Hurricane Katrina, people were relocated, had vocational changes, and lost companions. People believed that God was over there. In 2006 in Sri Lanka, a tsunami completely destroyed a resort and an entire community of people. Again, people thought that God was only over there. The truth is that God is always going where He is coming from, simply because He is already there!

As people following Christ, we all experience stop and go, arrival and departure, life and death. We know about living in between pivotal moments. It’s easy to believe that God is not at work in the ordinary. But He is! Through my book Living in the In-Between Times, you’ll discover how God speaks to you, how you can respond, and the significance of decisive commitment to the will of God.
