Lessons from the Pit

God has never broken a promise.  We are learning that God placed the book of Lamentations in the Bible as a red light.  The STOP is showing us there are consequences for sin.  As we study chapter 3, it's not simply meant to be read but felt. We'll also see that God is faithful even when you are not. He is just, but a genuine prayer seeking forgiveness is always answered.

About Today’s Walk

Today’s Walk is the weekly television program from Valley Baptist Church in Bakersfield, California. Today's Walk is hosted by Dr. Roger Spradlin, the Senior Pastor at Valley Baptist Church. Our goal is to strengthen Christians in their daily walk with relevant and practical teaching from God's word. For more than 40 years, Dr. Spradlin has preached expository messages emphasizing forgiveness and grace.

About Dr. Roger Spradlin

Dr. Roger Spradlin has been preaching the gospel practically every week since he was 17 years old. As the primary host of Today’s Walk, he is committed to teaching the Bible through exposition that is both accurate and relevant. He grew up in Oklahoma where he still maintains a small ranch that he visits as often as his schedule allows. The only livestock that he has in California are Koi that thankfully stay in a fish pond in his backyard. He is married to Ginger, and they have three grown children, all of whom are involved in ministry. His favorite pastime is spending time with his grandchildren.
