Why it is so important
to know the sequence of End Time prophecies?
First, prophecy takes up no less that ¼ of the Scriptures so it is not something we can simply ignore. Knowing prophecy enables us to give a clear presentation to others of why things are unfolding the way they do in many areas such as politics, morality, technology and global ecological changes. It offers us the opportunity us to share the Good News of Messiah.
Knowing the sequence of prophecy helps keep us calm as we know what to expect so that the only thing that can catch us off guard is the Rapture! Knowing prophecy allows us to pinpoint God’s plan for Israel and His plan the nations of the world.
We are challenged by God’s own words for the idol worshippers (or those who seek answers elsewhere). He uses prophecy to prove His foreknowledge and sovereignty. In Isaiah 41: 21-23 we read: Present your case,” says the Lord. “Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob. “Let them (the idols) bring forth and show us what will happen; Let them show the former things, what they were, That we may consider them, And know the latter end of them; Or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, That we may know that you are gods; Yes, do good or do evil, That we may be dismayed and see it together.
If prophecy is a platform which God uses to authenticate His omniscience, let us in turn learn to use and handle this tool with utmost care. Is it not after all, the Sword of the Spirit and the Word of God?
