And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”

--John 14:16-17

Unlike every other founder of world religions who came to teach good things and departed on their own way, Jesus Christ came to stay.

He committed Himself to us as believers when He promised to give us a Helper that would abide within our hearts, and who would never leave or forsake us.

That was the promise of Jesus Christ… and He never breaks His promises!

And what I want to help you understand today is that this Helper, the Holy Spirit, isn’t an influential being, a force, or a theological fact. It is the presence of Jesus Christ living inside you! All you have to do as a believer is simply receive Him.

Romans 8:9 says, “You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you.” We don’t have to beg the Holy Spirit to fill us, but instead we must only permit Him to fill us.

On the day of Pentecost, which is recorded in Acts 2, there were three recorded miracles that occurred when the Holy Spirit filled the people there—the miracles of sound, sight, and speech.

And just as those powerful winds did miraculous things, so can amazing things happen when the Spirit of God blows through your life!

THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL DO AMAZING THINGS IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU WILL LET HIM!
