Is Abortion Ever The Answer?

March 1, 2013

For you formed my inward parts;
            you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
            my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:13-14

I read an article this past week about NFL quarterback, Tim Tebow. I don’t know if you know his story, but early in her pregnancy with him, his mother discovered there might be some complications with her baby. She was advised by her doctor to abort the baby, but she refused. She made a choice to have him and trusted God would work it out according to His plan.

Well, praise the Lord, little Tim was born perfectly healthy, grew up in a Christian home, and is now giving glory to God on the football field. But I know that every day, there are mothers out there who face that same difficult decision. I’ve met many of them, and the ones who are most at peace are the ones who let God be God in their dark situation and didn’t abort their children.

Now what does that mean? It means if God has given a woman a life inside of her, that life is just a valid as any. As human beings, we have no right to deny that child the right to be born. He or she is made in the image of God and given life by his or her Creator.

If you or someone your know is in a situation with a baby and doesn’t know what to do, get help. Talk to someone at your church or a pro-life pregnancy center. Choose life, and God will give you supernatural peace in your decision.

CHOOSE LIFE, NOT ABORTION, FOR THE UNBORN. FIGHT FOR THEIR RIGHTS TO LIFE AND HELP THOSE WHO FACE THAT DIFFICULT CHOICE.
