Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted...

 --2 Timothy 3:12

Christianity has become comfortable for too many people today. It’s easy to be a “Sunday morning Christian” and live like the world the rest of the week.

Today’s verse reminds us that all followers of Christ will face persecution. And while most believers in America don’t face physical persecution for their faith, what this verse affirms is that Christianity is not easy. If you stand for Christ, you will be spiritually attacked and your faith will be tested.

This may mean you aren’t accepted in every circle because you won’t compromise your beliefs. Or you may not get invited to hang out in certain places with your co-workers because they know what you stand for as a believer.

But if your faith is genuine, then the persecution and spiritual attacks you face from the world won’t matter! Keep in mind that a true Christian is someone wh

• has made a choice to follow Jesus Christ;
• is continually being transformed by God; and
• is challenged to pick up his or her cross daily and follow the Lord no matter the cost.

Have you made the decision to follow Christ? If so, I want to challenge you today to let Him continually transform your attitude and actions so that the world will see in you what a true Christian really is!

IF YOUR FAITH IS GENUINE, THE PERSECUTION AND SPIRITUAL ATTACKS YOU FACE FROM THE WORLD WON’T MATTER.
