The value God has placed on your life

May 4, 2011

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Psalm 139:14

I read a recent Time magazine article that said Stanford economists had studied exactly what people are willing to pay to save a life. And they came to the conclusion that the value of a human being today is right around $129,000. Now when it comes to a human life, that’s not much, is it?

That’s less than the average price of a house in the U.S., less than the price of a Ferrari, and less than Bill Gates makes in 30 minutes!

But to God, the price tag on your life was great. If you want to see the value of a soul and how much worth God places upon your life, then take a look at the cross! There Jesus, dying and giving himself for you, forever declares that you are made for God and that you can be remade for him.

God’s love for you and his desire to know you is more precious than anything in the world. So remember, to him you’re worth more than just $129,000. You’re worth his own Son coming to earth and dying on the cross to rescue you!

GOD PLACES SO MUCH VALUE ON YOU THAT HE SENT HIS SON TO DIE. SO TRUST IN HIM BECAUSE OF HIS LOVE FOR YOU.
