Let the Truth Set You Free – Beloved Women – September 15, 2023

“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, ‘If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’”(John 8:31-32 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Since the fall of Adam, the world has been caught up in lies. Lies about our identity and the way we should live. Many of these lies have become commonplace. We’re encouraged to live according to our flesh and overlook the consequences of doing so.
Christ however, instructs us to live a different way. He reminds us to seek first the kingdom of God and everything will be added to us. (Matthew 6:33) He calls us to love with every part of our being: with all our heart, strength and mind. (Matthew 22:37)
These truths are found in the Word of God. We must seek to know and understand what our Savior and Lord says about who we are and how to live. When we elevate God’s truth in our lives we are set free from the lies of this world.
PRAY
Jesus, I need You. I need to know You for myself. Lord, please reveal Your truth to me. Help me understand Your word as it relates to every area of my life. Let me be guided by Your teaching so that I may live in freedom. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray. Amen.
