No Age Limit – Beloved Women – April 23, 2020
READ: “But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.” (Numbers 14:24 ESV).
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: My dear friend, Las, relayed her career trajectory to me. By the time she became the Managing Director of her company, she was in her late 50s. Some may have wondered what took her so long, but to her, it happened at just the right time. She had a quiet confidence that could only be attributed to her faith.
Caleb was eighty-five years old when he asked Joshua to give him the mountain that God promised him (Joshua 14:6-13). He remembered God’s promise to him and lived with its fulfillment in mind, for he was as strong then, as he was when the promise was made. We see from Caleb that no age is too late for claiming God’s promises. Caleb saw possibilities where others saw defeat.
PRAY: Dear Lord, give me the strength to claim the mountains that You have promised. May age not deter me, but may my faith remain strong. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
REFLECT: How do you plan to follow God fully?
