Help Me Understand was created to give insight into how God's Word speaks to our experience of anger, anxiety, conflict, depression, forgiveness, grief, guilt, loneliness, self-esteem, and suffering.
God isn't distant, watching us suffer from afar. Our Creator is intimately acquainted with all of our emotions and weaknesses. His Word is a gift to help us understand our pain and His loving answers to it.
I remember only two things from my high school chemistry class. First, I got rid of a wart on the back of my right hand through applications of sulfuric acid for thirty-three consecutive days. Second, I watched the slow death of a frog in an unforgettable experiment.

It should have been a model marriage filled with peace and joy. Struggles would come, of course, but an enduring hope would get them through the dark days.
