Be Sober
I Peter 5:8 (NKJV)
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
How will he devour you? With the words of your mouth. Satan will keep you bound, poor, sick, and oppressed by the words of your mouth. When you make such negative confessions as "I think I'm gonna be sick" or "They have invited me over for dinner and they'll probably have seafood and seafood makes me sick." We say things like that, thinking that we are being honest and telling the truth. You don't realize that is how the devil got control of you in the first place. Because you got sick one time, the devil put a thought in your mind that it was the shrimp, lobster or sea bass that has made you sick. You should not have any problems eating whatever you want to eat. There may be some things you choose not to eat, but not because it makes you sick. Remember that what you confess or say with your mouth is your faith speaking, and it will reveal whether your faith is weak or strong.
